Chris Pomroy - Director


Chris qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1980 and became a partner in Hereward Philips in 1987. He subsequently became a director of Smith & Williamson when the practices merged in 2001. Chris set up his own practice in 2003.

As well as ensuring that our clients comply with increasing Government regulation and law, Chris provides strategic business and tax advice to help them operate as efficiently as possible.

In his spare time Chris enjoys golf, sailing and currently fulfilling his ambition of learning to play the saxophone.

Jonathan Pomroy - Director


As the surname suggests Jonathan is Chris’s son and joined the business in 2010 after spending a few years travelling between the UK, Canada and Germany working in hospitality, as a ski instructor and a bicycle tour manager along the way.

Jonathan is a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser and Chartered Management Accountant using his knowledge to help clients with their day to day running of the business from general bookkeeping up to involvement in strategic decision making.

He is our expert on our cloud accountancy systems, management accounting, payroll and auto enrolment.

When not at the office, Jonathan enjoys skiing, cycling, golf and spending time with his young family.

Suzie Langley - Manager


Suzie joined the practice in 2007 after taking time off from work to look after her young family. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992 while working for Mercer and Hole. She went on to join Deloittes where she headed up their financial and management accounts department.

Suzie's previous roles means that she is an expert in financial reporting ensuring that our clients comply with all regulatory requirements.

As well as looking after her family, Suzie enjoys Zumba and gardening in her spare time.

Irma King - Manager


Irma recently joined Pomroy Associates in 2021 and heads up the new Stevenage office.

Irma qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2014 after starting her accountancy career in 2009. She has an extensive knowledge of the contractor market and tax planning for both companies and individuals. She is very passionate about customer service and creating tailored solutions for the clients’ needs.

In her spare time, Irma likes reading and hiking with her family.

Kaelan Kinsella - Payroll Manager/Apprentice


Kaelan joined the practise in 2016 after spending several years working in the hospitality sector. After completing and passing his Level 4 CFAB apprenticeship he has now enrolled and is working towards his Level 7 ACA/CTA joint apprenticeship.

Kaelan is our payroll manager and overseas the accurate and timely processing of monthly payrolls.

Kaelan uses his gained knowledge from studies to assist the Pomroy team from general bookkeeping via our numerous offered online software’s to preparing draft accounts, tax returns and VAT returns.

During his free time, Kaelan is an avid sports fan and enjoys playing football and has recently taken up golf.

Liz O’Hare - Bookkeeper/Office Administrator

Liz had an early career in the Public Sector and after a family career break and a role with Hertfordshire Music Service, re-trained and qualified as a Bookkeeper in 2005.

Since then, she has developed her experience while managing the daily accounts and payroll for several local businesses. Liz looks after our company secretarial services and compliance requirements.

Liz enjoys the Theatre and music. She also plays golf and swims to keep fit!
