Jonathan Pomroy - Managing Director
CTA ACMA CGMA
Jonathan is the Managing Director of Pomroy Associates, having assumed the role in May 2023. He joined the company in 2010 after working in the hospitality industry across the UK, Canada, and Germany, holding positions such as ski instructor and bicycle tour manager.
Jonathan is a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA). He utilises his expertise in taxation and management accounting to support clients in various business operations, including bookkeeping and strategic decision-making.
Apart from client advisory, Jonathan is recognised for his proficiency in cloud accountancy systems and tax planning. He offers valuable insights and guidance to clients based on his specialised knowledge.
Outside of work, Jonathan finds enjoyment in skiing, cycling, and golf, while also prioritizing quality time with his young family.
Chris Pomroy - Director
Chris is a Director at Pomroy Associates. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1980 and became a partner at Hereward Philips in 1987. Following a merger with Smith & Williamson in 2001, he assumed the role of director. In 2003, Chris established his own practice.
With his extensive experience and expertise as a Chartered Accountant, Chris ensures that clients at Pomroy Associates comply with the ever-increasing government regulations and laws. Additionally, he offers strategic business and tax advice to help clients operate their businesses efficiently.
Outside of his professional commitments, Chris enjoys pursuing leisure activities such as golf and sailing. He is also fulfilling his ambition of learning to play the saxophone.
Suzie Langley - Manager
Suzie joined the firm in 2007 after taking time off to care for her young family. Suzie qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992 while working for Mercer and Hole. Following her time there, she joined Deloitte, where she led the financial and management accounts department.
With her extensive background and experience, Suzie is an expert in financial reporting. Her expertise ensures that clients at Pomroy Associates comply with all regulatory requirements related to financial reporting.
In her spare time, Suzie enjoys spending time with her family. In her spare time, she engages in activities such as Zumba and gardening.
Irma King - Manager
Irma joined the firm in 2021 to following the company’s expansion to Stevenage. She holds the qualification of Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA).
Irma embarked on her accountancy career in 2009 and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2014. She possesses a deep understanding of the contractor market and excels in providing tax planning services for both companies and individuals. Irma is committed to delivering excellent customer service and is dedicated to creating customized solutions to meet clients' specific needs.
Outside of work, Irma enjoys reading and embarking on hikes with her family.
Faye Carpenter – Office Manager
Faye joined the practice in December 2022 having worked in both Public and Private Sectors as an Executive Assistant/Office Manager in the local area.
Faye brings a wealth of skills and support to both our team at Pomroy Associates and Clients alike.
Faye looks after our company secretarial services and compliance requirements and is looking forward to broadening her skillset and expertise.
During her free time, Faye enjoys travel, spending time with friends and family and taking long walks with her dachshund, Alan!
Kaelan Kinsella - Payroll Manager/Apprentice
Kaelan joined Pomroy Associates in 2016 with extensive experience in the hospitality sector. After completing his Level 4 CFAB apprenticeship, he is currently pursuing a Level 7 joint apprenticeship for ACA and CTA.
As the payroll manager, Kaelan ensures accurate and timely processing of monthly payrolls, guaranteeing correct and prompt employee payments.
With his acquired knowledge, he assists the team in various areas, including bookkeeping using online software and preparing draft accounts, tax returns, and VAT returns. Kaelan's dedication and expertise contribute to delivering precise and comprehensive work.
Outside of work and studies, Kaelan enjoys playing football and recently picked up golf as a new interest.
Paula Timberlake - Accounts Assistant
Paula joined the us in August 2023 having previously worked at another practice for 10 years where she was responsible for the bookkeeping for clients, completing VAT Returns, Annual Accounts, Corporation Tax Returns and Personal Tax Returns. She was also responsible for Company Secretarial compliance and has experience in payroll processing.
Prior to starting with Pomroy Associates, Paula worked for over 28 years in industry and at a charity in Management and Financial Accounting roles. Paula has extensive experience with systems, including QuickBooks, Xero and Sage.
During her free time, Paula dances competitively and enjoys football, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
